For this project we were tasked to weld tie-in welds with an extremely high level of technical expertise:
- manual GTAW,
- mechanized GTAW,
- F22 materials,
- highly restrictive NDT acceptance criteria,
- small restricted welding space (O&G plant),
- Continuous induction preheating from root to cap,
- negative temperatures as low as -15°C but that felt like -25°C.
Our local office in Atyrau, Kazakhstan was a crucial local entity for the project’s success providing necessary administrative support, mobilization/demobilization, and local procurement.
